All you need to enjoy our cycling trips is the ability to ride a bicycle and a passion for seeing a destination on two wheels. That’s about it.
While there are occasionally longer days on some itineraries, the vast majority of our cycling days have two options, 30kms and 90kms approximate and are done at a leisurely pace with plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy the scenery/just take a break. Anyone with a reasonable level of fitness will get by with no troubles.
Leading up to our tour we recommend you work on doing a minimum of 200km a week, ideally more if you have the time.
All our cycling trip will be done on sealed roads.
We encourage non-biking partners or individuals to join our trip, we have lots of activities for non-cycling partners to keep busy by mixing with the locals, visiting the markets or enjoying some typical Chilean cuisine with a glass of wine near the beach at the local towns we visit.
The cost for non-riders is exactly the same.
Helmets, cycling shoes and your bike, we will provide you with a uniform to use during the rides.
On our cycling tour your accommodation is pre-booked and your luggage is transferred from one point to the next.
All you have to carry is water, and any snacks for the ride. We will provide you with water and fruit each day.
Travel Insurance is compulsory for everyone in our tour, you can organise your own or speak to our official travel agent.
All airlines will have their own rules and fees when transporting bikes. We are talking to our official travel agency to discuss with an airline bike transport and will let you know. Before you go, you must box your bike for transport.
It’s up to you but there are lots of energy food etc available in Chile. Taking food will limit your luggage allowance.
Our plan include share room with another person of the same sex. If you prefer your own room, we can do this at an extra cost.
We are limiting the groups to no more than 20 people.
